Freestyle Academy proudly presents
For our band’s debut song, Fortnite Star, we got the best of the best talents from all corners of the music industry. Jake Custodio, David Palacios, Hector Chang, and I were all the lead singers for this song. I began the project when I desired to express my unconditional love for Fortnite, and once the word got out it was only a matter of time until the applications to join my journey began flooding in. The thing I am most proud of is the deep and complex lyrics, going over difficult themes that many artists struggle with and stay away from, such as existential dread, cosmic horror, crippling depression, as well as many more. The song is very emotional and easily brings tears to many people’s eyes during their first listen (unsurprisingly). David edited our song together, incorporating the instrumental to the critically acclaimed “All Star by Smash Mouth” with our vocals which resulted in one of the best collaborations in music industry history.
